A Starting Point

There was a woman, a best friend of my mothers, that I called Bucket List Roxanne.  I had heard millions of stories about her but I had never actually met her.  When I did, though, I started keeping a mental note of things I wanted to do in my life.  Small things, like milking a cow, and big things, like spending a month in every country.

There's a huge problem with keeping mental notes.  I mean, let's be serious.  I couldn't keep up with my car keys, there's no way I'm keeping track of an extensive list of "to-do's".  Just this evening I actually wrote them down.  I'm sure that's not all of them.  I'll wake up at a ridiculous hour tonight and write more, I'll bet.

I don't imagine anyone is reading this yet.  Why would you?  One post isn't very interesting.  So, whoever it is out there, enjoy my list.  This is what I have so far...

1. Sky dive
2. Eat lobster on the coast (any coast)
3. Eat crab on the coast
4. Paint something
5. Watch the AFI Top 100 movies
6. Witness a solar eclipse
7. Meet and have at least a short conversation with Tiffany Lee, Adam Young, Conan O'Brien, or Jack McBrayer
8. Learn a Greek dance from a Greek
9. Go to a renaissance festival
10. Go to a Shakespeare festival
11. Jump off of the Vegas Stratosphere
12. Learn to surf
13. Learn to cook spaghetti a la carbonara properly
14. Become fluently trilingual
15. Get sung to by a barbershop quartet
16. See the Phantom of the of Opera at the Majestic Theatre in London
17. Call someone from a red telephone booth in London (even if they're right next to me)
18. Learn to water ski
19. Scuba dive
20. Snorkel
21. Ride in a hot air balloon
22. Do something crazy and daring in New Zealand

25. Bungee jump
26. Have a book published
27. Climb a mountain
28. Experience zero gravity

33. Spend a month in every country

I will probably add a few more.  Who can't use a few more dreams, right?  :)
